As Director of Software Engineering and Integration at Exum Instruments, Oleg is in charge of developing instrument control and user interface software, as well as designing custom electronic circuits for their subsystems.
Prior to joining Exum’s team, Oleg received his Masters in Cosmochemistry from the University of New Mexico, and later became a Stable Isotope Lab Technician at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Oleg developed a fascination with electronic circuit design at an early age, and built his first radio receiver at the age of eight. Exum aside, his love for the smell of solder flux and hot antique electronics isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Exum builds instruments and software ecosystems to increase the speed of development and discovery, offering easy access to high-performance at a low-cost. Our first instrument, The Massbox, is the first Laser Ablation Laser Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer (LALI-TOF-MS) instrument on the market, capable of analyzing any sample you can throw at it.
