As Principle Mechanical Engineer at Exum Instruments, Jens designs and builds Exum’s novel and comprehensive mass spectrometer.
Before joining Exum's team, Jens earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. Since graduating, Jens has designed a wide variety of mechanical systems, including Orthopedic Implants, Robots (military and commercial), Quadcopter Drones, and Ground Station Equipment for large rockets. His design work has awarded him multiple patents before joining Exum. In his free time, when he's not chasing his two sons around, Jens enjoys designing and building custom radio-controlled scale trucks, working on his Jeep, traveling with his wife and children, and is an electric vehicle enthusiast.
